Meet Kenzie
Scrubs-Max.com, also known as Kenzie Enterprises (name inspired by our website mascot “Kenzie”, a 92-pound bundle of joy and canine shenanigans), was formed in 2003 by owner, Pam McMahon. Leaving behind a 20+ year career in financial services, Pam wasn’t quite sure exactly where her path would lead. She had a clear vision of two aspects, however: she wanted to be able to engage her creativity in selling a quality product and she wanted to sell through the exciting and exploding new medium of e-commerce. It took just under a year for Pam to settle on a product – medical scrubs captured her attention because that niche industry had just begun to emerge beyond the traditional green “hospital scrubs” into a full line of trendy, fashionable uniforms, worn not just in hospitals, but in many venues calling for comfortable, durable, inexpensive yet trendy work attire. As a niche, growth market, the product fit well into the Scrubs-Max business plan and after much research, Cherokee Uniforms was selected as the primary product line to be offered for sale. A dynamic, growing company like Cherokee, with a product line offering trendy or basic fashions, quality, affordability and a substantial selection would be a perfect fit for “Scrubs-Max.com” to compete and grow in what was already becoming a competitive arena. After over four years in business, Scrubs-Max has achieved remarkable growth by providing quality, affordable scrubs and shoes to an ever-expanding list of satisfied and loyal customers, spanning hospitals, medical and dental offices, veterinary hospitals, cafeterias, salons, bakeries, day-care facilities and much, much more. A large portion of the company’s sales are derived from individual customers who purchase on-line, however an area of exploding growth has been sales to groups – medical, dental, veterinary hospitals, salons and child nutrition programs to name a few. To handle the special needs of larger orders, a sales coordinator works one-on-one with the customer to assure optimum results. In addition to “scrubs”, the company also carries a full line of shoes that are built to provide comfort and style for individuals who spend a good portion of their work day on their feet. If you ask Pam what she feels has most contributed to the success of her company, she will answer with a resounding “Service to our customers! As a company that focuses on retail sales on the internet, we have to work extra hard to develop enduring, personalized relationships. We do that by striving to keep abreast of what our customers want and finding creative ways to market and deliver products and services in a way that is rewarding for all concerned.” |
